Accepting credit cards and PayPal from your customers Print

  • 0

You will need a way to accept payment from your customers. The most popular two are PayPal and a full on merchant account.

With PayPal your customers can check out and pay with their existing PayPal account and or a major credit or debit card. They do NOT need to have a PayPal account themselves in order to use their credit or debit card.

The second way is by you acquiring a merchant account. We have attached an (PDF file) application for the merchant account to the email we sent you letting you know your cart installation had been completed. Simply print it out, and fax it in to the merchant account providers. All information provided with the attachment.

If you do not already have a PayPal account, got to PayPal.com and set one up there. You will need a PayPal "standard" account.

Your shopping cart comes with a "Standard" PayPal module included. Meaning that all you need is a PayPal "standard" account with PayPal.

If you wish to apply and use our merchant account services, there is a additional fee for the (optional) merchant processing module which your shopping cart will require.

NOTE: If you already have a merchant account, it must have a "Authorize.net AIM (Advanced Integration Method)" or USAePay payment gateway in order to be compatible with the shopping cart.

If you already have a Authorize.net AIM (Advanced Integration Method) merchant account, there is no additional fee required as we have a built-in payment gateway module for Authorize.net AIM (Advanced Integration Method).

After you have procured an active PayPal account (or already have one) please do the following below.

In order for us to complete your PayPal integration, we will need these PayPal API credentials below.

IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE WITH GATHERING YOUR CREDENTIALS, YOU NEED TO CONTACT PAYPAL SUPPORT HERE:

https://www.paypal-support.com

We need credentials 1 thru 5 below:

1) PayPal Email Address

2) PDT Token (Instructions on how to generate/retrieve your PDT Token provided below).

3) PayPal API User

4) PayPal API Password

5) PayPal API Signature

Below is how to obtain the API credentials (Incl PDT Token) from within your PayPal account:

To get started, from within your PayPal account you must request API credentials. Keep in mind that your PayPal account must first be verified.

HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR PAYPAL API CREDENTIALS:

1) Log in to your PayPal account.

2) Then simply click this link https://www.paypal.com/businessprofile/mytools/apiaccess/firstparty/signature

3) Once on that page you will see API Username, API Password and Signature.

4) To the right of them you will see a link named "Show". Click on them and the will show your credentials.

5) Open a support ticket (See link below) and paste them into a support ticket.

IMPORTANT: Make 100% SURE, you do not miss copying/pasting anything, because if you do, your payment module in your shopping cart will never work. And you'll have to go back and do this part again for us.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR PDT TOKEN:

1) Simply follow this link to retrieve your PDT Token: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_profile-website-payments

2) Then look for section titled:  Payment data transfer.

3) Then just below it you will see the text: "Identity Token:" and to the right of it you will se a long string of letters, symbols, numbers etc which will look like this sample: 3wn4Xvu_H82B16sm4eHdORRe5VOS0vuBtTqRRJ6KntAbMhHH0

4) Copy/paste this along with your API credentials (mentioned above) and send them to us in a support ticket.

IMPORTANT!!  Please make (double) sure you have copy/pasted EVERY single character of your credentials exactly, or when you give it to us, it will NEVER work properly. So double, even triple check that you have copied everything super-carefully.

NOTE: After you have your credentials, send them to us by logging into your (AdultTurnkey) account management area, open a “Help Ticket” and cut/paste all the credentials  of the API in the tech support ticket you send us.

To place a "tech Support" ticket do the following:
